The Intersectionality Research Hub undertakes, mobilizes and influences public perception and policy on emergent forms of racism-sexism in the North American context, providing an historically-inflected, intersectional and interlocking perspective that locates these structures within a larger analytical framework of violence. Through such an approach, the Intersectionality Research Hub generates urgently needed cross- and interdisciplinary analyses of current events, such as femicides of differently located women and girls (by race, sexuality, class), extremist violence, and exclusionary politics, while drawing into conversation linked thematic areas such as interpersonal violence, radicalization, racism, sexism and institutional discrimination.
